Using your professional or hand-drawn plans, we'll work together to design your dream kitchen down to the very last detail- cabinets, countertop, backsplash, even hardware, fixtures and paint.

Using your professional or hand-drawn plans, we'll work together to design the bathroom, pantry, mudroom or laundry of your dreams.

Living Room or Home Office 3D Rendering

Using your professional or hand-drawn plans, we'll work together to bring your perfect living room or home office to life.

What's my design process? 

Step One:

I'll ask you for a few things:

  • any floorplans you already have
  • any cabinet plans you already have
  • design inspiration photos giving me an idea of things you love
Step Two:

We'll schedule a call so I can get super clear on your dream design,

Step Three:

I'll get to work designing your space using the layout and inspiration photos you provided, and by incorporating things we've discussed on our Step Two call.

Step Four:

We'll schedule a review call, during which we can make live edits to your design

Step Five:

You'll get a complete set of documents you can share with your builder, cabinet maker, designer, mother-in-law, whomever you want.

* Note that up to an hour of post-call edits is also included to make sure the design is perfect for you.

I'm Derek Morris

I don’t just design homes—I craft spaces that live beautifully. Architecture and design have been my obsession since I was a kid, sketching floor plans for fun. Now, that passion fuels every project at Happy Karma Homes, where we turn blueprints into stunning, functional realities.
 
Before launching Happy Karma Homes in 2019, I spent 15 years in corporate accounting. (Yeah, I know—talk about a plot twist.) But the call to create was too strong to ignore. So, I took the leap, left the spreadsheets behind, and stepped into my Zone of Genius (shoutout to my fellow The Big Leap fans).
 
Since then, I’ve been designing and executing next-level homes—ground-up new builds, jaw-dropping remodels, and seamless additions. I don’t just work behind the scenes; I get in the trenches, making sure our designs don’t just look incredible but actually work in real life. Whether I’m collaborating with homeowners to refine their ideas or helping interior designers bring their visions to life with stunning 3D renderings, my mission is always the same: flawless design meets effortless livability.
